How do I find the death records for these years

As you probably know, the GRO index isn't on line after 2006. Later years can be accessed at various places around the country but even then there is a delay in a person's name being added.

The Library of Birmingham
Bridgend Local and Family History Centre
City of Westminster Archives Centre
Manchester Central Library
Newcastle City Library
Plymouth Central Library and
The British Library

As some families place notices in the local paper, you could try http://www.iannounce.co.uk/ There may be other websites.

Ancestry.co.uk has added some more recent records which appear to be extracts from local papers or parish magazines. They only give basic details such as name, when, geographically where and possibly age.

If someone's Estate went to Probate, then you should find an entry on the Probate Calendar. Unfortunately if the name is relatively common, you may end up with a number of possibilities. The Register Office may not be local to where they lived/died.
