My tree has started to get a bit unwieldy and I would like to create new trees with just blood lines - how do I create a new tree, please?

hi Patricia

you could log on to genes reunited with a different e-mail address

then just put your blood line on it.

Is there no way of doing it, using my only email address?

No

you can only have 1 tree per membership.

You have to start a FREE membership for each extra tree that you want to have. Do NOT pay more subscriptions.

As for the email address, use the free ones ............ either gmail or Yahoo. I've had a gmail address for years, and you can have several of the gmail accounts by using different passwords.

Members who wish to contact you on one of the free accounts can do so, and then you can reply to them. If you wish to contact someone, then you will have to use your paying name.

You can get a free one at say @gmail.com or hotmail.com. There may be other domains. The advantage of Free email address is that it won't be tied to your internet provider.

Although the tree dashboard has a tab 'My Trees' in the plural, its only possile to have one tree per account. Its probably one of things GR planned to allow, but never got round to.

My advice is don't.

Maintaining multiple trees, whilst it seems like a good idea at the time soon becomes more trouble than it is worth. I know because I tried it some ten years ago. It lasted about six months and I reverted to a single tree which now contains all my research.
