could anyone out there shed any light on any aspect of this for me i would be most gratefull thank you

The NSW/BMD shows this 1955 marriage:

June Valerie Plews to a Basil Ronald J PITCHERS at Mosman.

The 'NSW State Library' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (as already mentioned) -they will trace her/them via electoral rolls (past & present).
(both appear to be still living -as no deaths appear for either of them)

'White Pages' are also on-line - worth checking.
