I've been using the new records on fmp this evening ....... no problems :-)

that is, unless I could find out where Gradall was in relation to Slaidburn :-(

ah so it wasn't just the 1939 register ... I tend to use Ancestry for things like censuses and BMDs so I hadn't noticed.

Love or hate Ancestry, it isn't out of service too much.

Aha, the 1939 is now showing me what I wanted to see.

Meanwhile, tell 'em what you think, Joan!

Done, have mentioned the continuing breaks in service, plus the poor transcriptions ( too many entries showing as blanks for no good reason). I might have mentioned the 1939 errors but there are just too many to go through lol, I've just learned to expect the worst and try all the work rounds.

I have both about the error messages and about the misleading false search results ...

Had the same problems for the last couple of hours, and last night :-|

Today it gave me search results and then would not let me look at the records.

Then it just stopped giving me search results.

Now it's giving me one search result for the name John Slaughter when I am really very sure there was more than one John Slaughter in all of England, given that 20 of them died in the next 20 years (and in fact it had already found me the one I wanted but wouldn't show me the household/image).

There's a 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

I've told them my opinion about these constant problems with the 1939 register.

Anybody who's getting the same problems, feel free to let them know yours!
