I had never heard of FTL, so can't help you personally, but I was googling and noticed two things.

One, you are not the only one with this problem and

Two, the company has apparently merged with My Heritage. Quite a number of people on here use My Heritage and like it, so have you tried contacting them for help?

Family Tree Legends Help Really Needed Please

Do any members still use, or have access to use a working Family Tree Legends software that would open an .ftl data file Or know someone that uses or has access to Family Tree Legends working software.
If you Do you can really help me out.

My trouble is I have a backup of my Family Tree with it's usual file extension .ftl and
No computer to be able to open Family Tree Legends and export the ftl into a gedcom and then forward the gedcom to me to do the rest.
There are 96 families and associated indiviidus so it would save a great deal of work

Please think if you can help me or know anyone else who can. I would be really grateful.
Thank you

And Thank you ArgyllGran unfortunately not an option, I could really do with someone willing to take my family tree ftl file and then create a gedcom that is useable to import.

I have been a GR member for several years and also used on my laptop a copy of Family Tree Legends, with the tree held with a .ftl ffile. I have always backed up the tree for obvious reasons and saving as a new file e.g. 08052012.ftl

What wasn't thought of was that pearl software and subsequent companies either stopped trading or Windows 10 version of Family Tree Legends software compatibility would not be created. I have had some suggestions to try without success.

Unfortunately as I cannot install FTL to be able to open my backup, I am unable to export into a gedcom and use in GenesReunited.

I know The photos and Notes would not transfer, but at least the tree structure would be there and not have to start from scratch.

Can anyone help with advice if there is any free software available that could open the ftl and export into GR. I am stuck and at a loss and desperate to get this sorted and would be so grateful if anyone can help.

Thank you in advance
