Attenborough (Black) Household (3 People) 49 Serlby Rise , Nottingham C.B., Nottinghamshire, England

Elsie Attenborough (Black) 28 Mar 1891 Unpaid Domestic Duties
Dennis Black 03 Mar 1926 At School
Harry Wyer 21 Dec 1919 Labourer - Boiler Cowm

The last word is NOT Cowm, but it is indecipherable!

Elsie is a Widow, so it looks as though Harry is lodging with her. She is Black on the image, but later married a Mr Attenborough

Thank you very much

I was wondering if I could send someone the children's names

And see where they could be

Some of the children were old enough to marry but have looked on free BMD and could not find any marriages

If you give us her name we can look at the image ......... I have had at least one where the free bit said closed, but the record had actually been opened.

I can only see the free bit but it says household closed

Have you looked at the image to check that she hasn't been ignored? Sometimes original has been damaged making it difficult to read. In those instances, the transcriber has to write what they see, not what they think.

If you have her DC, or possibly her BC, you can request the entry to be opened.

I think when a record is marked closed it means the people concerned are still alive.

Hi Littlelegs

As far as I know, it could be that the people may still be alive.
