Member Since: August 2003 Posts: 26 Send Message	I am trying to find a record of the birth and death of my half sister in India somewhere between 1944 - 1948. My father at the time was living there, initially as a soldier in the British Army and then later as a member of the Indian police force. I have tried to find her details in the National Archieve and various family websites but have drawn a blank. Is anyone able to guide me to a website that might be able to help me? Thank you for your time.

	Have you tried British Armed Forces Births 1761- 2005, Deaths 1796-2005 British Indian Office Births , and BIO deaths British Civilians died overseas 1818-2005 All of the above are on FMP and may also be on GR Have you looked on https://search.fibis.org/frontis/bin/ ? If your father wasn't married to your half sisters mother, his surname may not show on any index.
