DEATH CERTIFICATE

Good afternoon.

I wish to obtain a death certificate for someone that passed away in February of this year. Obviously it is not listed, as yet, on the websites, only up to 2022. Does anyone know how I could obtain a copy if this is indeed possible please?

I obviously have their full name, date of birth and the date that they passed away.

Thanks in advance.

I assume the death took place in England or Wales.

You would have to apply to the registrar of the district in which the death was registered, if you know where that was.

Sorry, yes in England. So I wouldn't be able to contact the GRO although obviously don't have an Index reference.

Try the GRO…….they can only say ‘no’
Just look at their website

The info should be with them by now, as the quarter has ended

Thank you all for your responses. Now sorted. I contacted the Registry Office in the area he lived. Have made the application so fingers crossed.

Kind regards,

Kathryn
