At least this year so far the songs have been 'proper' songs. Quite liked the Swedish one.

I'm enjoying it this year, even if the voting will be a farce!

Got the sing-a-long on (red button) but I haven't heard the songs before so not of much use :-D :-D :-D

A bit of a poisoned chalice for whoever they offered it to.

I am watching it, as usual o.h. has fallen asleep.

I didn't know that our female representative suffers from cystic fibrosis,

Interesting that Australia is involved, apparently they would not host if they won, but would get to choose who would host next year!

Some UK politicians want Britain out of 'Europe'.

No pleasing some.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 23 May 2015 20:28

Dermot

Dermot Report 23 May 2015 20:24

In case you missed it on Mersey's thread Steve.

Nicky Stevens from Brotherhood of Man was in my school. She was a 6th form prefect when I was in form 1 (year 7)

Her real name is Helen Thomas and she is the only Welsh person to have won the Eurovision Song Contest

Dermot

Dermot Report 24 Apr 2015 19:18

Nobody ever blames the song's composer for failures.

Dermot

Dermot Report 24 Apr 2015 19:09

Well, I doubt if Farage would want the job anyway just because the word 'Euro' is in the programme's title.

Nicky 'n' Steve

Oi how did Clarkson find his way into my Eurovision thread? :-0 :-P :-D :-D :-D

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 24 Apr 2015 14:18

Both miserable specimens deserving no sympathy whatsoever.

Dermot

Dermot Report 24 Apr 2015 13:46

Clarkson appears to be receiving more sympathetic press coverage than Farage.

It's good for the media to get priorities in the correct order. A shame neither one is a potential Eurovision winner.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 24 Apr 2015 05:45

I didn't realise Clarkson had entered Eurovision. Let's hope he doesn't thump an assistant if he gets hungry and sulky.

Ahh GL wish I could have gone!

I'm turning 43 in a couple of months, wanna send me to Vienna? :-D

I've watched it on and off for years, but in the last ten years or so I have become really quite an obsessive fan!
