I am very sad to hear this news.

Huia was a lovely lady and as Von has said, a wonderful photographer.
She sent me one of her photos taken of the misty view of the valley from her verandah. Stunning!

I am so sorry to read this on facebook. Yes, Linda I believe you are right, she did have a mini stroke earlier this year. Somebody on facebook did say that she was alone at the time Liz, hopefully though it was quick and painless. Huia will be much missed, her stories of her travels and her photos on facebook. Rest in peace lovely friend.
