I'm sorry I was so vague, I just wanted to be careful. It was along shot but if I explain, my Mother died recently and she was married to Jack, she was his second wife and was with him up until his death.

Whilst going through her things I found a lot personal bits that belonged to Jack, Army records, photo's, newspaper clippings etc and would like to reunite them with his family.

It's along story, but for many years I did not have much to do with my Mum, I met Jack a couple of times, but never any of his family.

My Mum did have a telephone books with a few Owens in it, but I've tried the numbers and they have all appeared to have moved on or have died.

True, especially with the war. Could be hard on relationships, quite apart from any war related casualties.

i can see only two rufus owen births one in 1896 and 1919

he could have been married twice

Shame his surname varies between Owen and Owens, hard to know at times if we have the right man.

There's possible issue of the Owen-Gilbert marriage

Also possible issue of the 1945 Owens-Bennett marriage Possible daughters 1948, 1953. 1959. Possible sons 1945, 1949.

Unfortunately both surnames are so common, no knowing if children relate to the 1945 marriage or other Owens-Bennett unions.
