looking for sister birth name frances gabb

hi my name is rebecca, im looking for my sister who was adopted out in new zealand. she phoned us here in australia when i was just a kid, but have since lost contact. i dont know her last name or date of birth except i think she was born in 1979 or 1980. can anyone give me any tips into furthering my search for her? :-(

Welcome to the boards Rebecca.

Try searching all members trees ( top right under search) for your parents names. If someone not known to you has them listed, send them a message.

Look for any NZ sites whose aim is to reunite birth family. You might be lucky and find the parent and child's birth name listed. If either of your parents were married before, may be you could also use their previous spouses names?
