Trying to find out about the military service of Arthur Ernest Belton, b.1900 in Summertown, Wandsworth. His cap badge shows that he was in the Middlesex Regiment. This is all I can say about his military service. Any help appreciated.

This is where you can obtain records from:-

Army Personnel Centre
Historic Disclosures, Mailpoint 555, Kentigern House, 65 Brown Street, Glasgow G2 8EX
Tel: 0845 600 9663 Email: [email protected]

The records will cost £30 and there is a wait of quite a few months to receive them.

Thank you both for your replies, I will tell my work colleague who's relation this is, & see where he wants to go from here.

Getting the WW2 service record isnt as straight forward as just applying for them,,,,,certain criteria is needed,,,

ie ,,,the named person can apply, for free, if he has passed away and left a widow, she can apply.

,his children can apply (at cost) if their father has died,,.and permission from the widow is granted ,if she is alive ,,,,,,,,, proof is also needed by way ,marriage, death, and off springs proof of birth, naming him as father,
