WW2 service records are not online. They are still with the MOD. Have a look here to see how to order them:-

They will cost about £30 and take quite some time (up to about 9 months) to arrive.

Hi I've searched for my grandfather military records I can find him in merchant navy but not his military records, I know he was in Adis Abeba in the 1940s were he was natured and sent to Cape town to recuperate,it was his head that was injured and he got a metal plate and 78 stitches, how or do I contact to find out more he was born 19/01/1905 in liverpool
