Hi I am trying to find any more info on Charles Davey born 1860, after 1879 I have him up until here married Elizabeth Challis in hackney 1879 after that I cant find either of them in any Census.

So it's looking like the correct family. Eunice Grace could have been born and just had the Davey name....... now I don't know if both parents would have to be present at the baptism or not??


I think if Charles when with Emily had just used his first name, I may have thought a coincedence, but then using his full name in 1911 makes me think that the info is right.

Thankyou for this I am still confused I think the only way I am going to sort this is to get the marriage cert. and that will give me the info and try and go from there. It so easy to confuse me. lol Thankyou for your hard work if he left Elizabeth and then married Emily did he get divorced. Why when Charles Jnr got married he put father deceased.

Were her fathers name is; William is crossed out and Charles John Davey added, so looks like she wanted to put her step fathers name down.


To me it looks like the girls have established that their father was C J Davey and aknowledged that he is still alive were Charles Jnr has stated he has died........ now Charles Jnr may have thought "well he's dead to me"???
