Member Since: July 2008 Posts: 18 042 Send Message	Elizabeth, Ozi and Andy have answered your question. If the name's not on your certificate, it isn't going to be anywhere else, sadly. Edit: I gather you mean you've found your birth registration record? If so, the surname is usually the father's name and the mother's maiden name is also listed. If the surname and the mother's maiden name is the same then that usually implies that the mother was unmarried.

	You can't see the detail on any website . The only way is to buy the cert. Andy

	The records available on line show your name and your mothers maiden name - plus the Volume and Page from the GRO record. For fathers detail and other info (address, exact date of birth), you have to buy the cert. Andy
