Can you tell us where you got the info about Ernest's wife's name?

Assuming that he actually married anyone............

Do you know if either of the deaths is his?

So I take it you have no other info at all? No children, place/year of death?
If so, you might have to risk getting that marriage cert.

Glenys was the daughter of Ernests brother Horace but unable to find any other children of theirs yet too....

If one of the deaths I posted is his, you could get the cert, to find out who registered the death

My mother in law remembered it but has no other info

Sorry, as you mentioned "Glenys" I thought you were working backwards. How do you know his wife's first name?

Thanks Jan, but how can i find a birth for any children if i'm not sure of the mothers maiden name?.

But these are his siblings presumably? To find his marriage you need to find a birth for one of his children.
