Am trying to find out more about Louisa and her parents/siblings. She had a daughter in 1822 called Rachel, I'm not sure if she was married at the time or of who Rachels father was. Any help much appreciated. Louisa and Rachel were born in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. |

From this , it would suggest tha Louisa was not married:- |

I have no reason to believe that these are related other than they are living in Ashbourne Derbyshire: |

Am I right in thinking Jope and Mary are parents of Joseph. That makes him born 1816...how is he connectedto Louisa, he would be 11 as her father? is it possible of writing error? |

Looking at the original of that 41 census I think his name is Jesse not Jope. The ss is written in the old way as fs. |

There's a tree on Ancestry that has your Louisa, born 23 Nov. 1804, Ashbourne, married George Roose 27 March, 1826. Her parents were Thomas Meakin (1771-1846) and Martha Deddick (1777-1843). Siblings Eliza 1800, George 1807, Solomon 1809 and James 1811. |

Thanks for that. I'm starting to input my tree on Ancestry as well, but haven't paid the membership - it very expensive. |

No, the tree on Ancestry doesn't list any children of Louisa, just her marriage. I don't think there's much chance of finding out who Rachel's father was. |

Ok, thanks - thats a shame. I have names of her children from her marriage to George. |

Yes it does but I don't have time to list them now, I'm on my way out. Can do it when I return. |

OK, I'm back. (A heck of a thing when you realize there's no milk in the house and you have to go out and buy some when the temperature is -20.) |
