Alexandra it looks like that is only when the person in question has only recently left the service but I do have the information from ancestry, if I could get more about his time in the army as Nicki suggests then that would be a bonus.
Nicki, Would the records go back that far back ?
Also if I tell them that I already have his first world war record details or they cannot find anything is that fee refundable or part of it?

Would anyone be willing to check out the papers from the time for any mention of the inquest/post mortem at the central library nottingham, I would be most appreciative.
