Find Ancestors

I have been trying to trace a death record but to no availe.Margaret Bennison(nee Hearnshaw) b 1921/22 in Chesterfield. Would have died Chesterfield area. Probably died after 1990. Can anyone help please?

Not that I know of. But it does not mean she did not. She married Walter Hearnshaw in yhe 1940's

was she Margaret or maybe a Peggy, do you have any further info on her ?

I found a Peggy Hearnshaw with a twin brother reg in 1921 Chesterfield which is why i asked if she could have been a Peggy, am trying to locate her birth for a cross match to her death

I saw the one Nicola found but cant tie it with a birth for a Margaret Hearnshaw in 1924

I wasnt convinced that was the right one as no birth for her in 1924 so did some more digging!!

She was EDITH M Hearnshaw.

records show Benison with only one "n"


So that cant be the right death .will look further for that

How sure are you that Eric predeceased her.

I was told by her nephew that he thoght she had died.
There has been no contact for years. I was named after her(margaret). She was my mums best friend and she was also told she had died. Do you think she couldhave gone into a home? or similar and no one knows. I do not think there are any surviving children

Well I wasnt that sure with the death ref cos i like to double check things.Thought it would be a shame if you wasted £7 getting the wrong cert. I tried first for the marriage on Ancestry took a little while cos i worked forward from 1946 -1950 but then worked back & Bingo found it i then looked for the birth again started 1920 and soon found it in 1921.you thought she was born c1921 . Ancestry then came up with Eric's details BUT sorry nothing comes up for Edith . You may find Eric's death cert will give you a clue depends who the informant was.

i would be inclined to get Erics death cert to see who the informant was..

Am guessing she was Edith Margaret and known as Margaret
