Find Ancestors

Hi anyone with a bit of spare time

I am trying to find out what happened to Lilly/Lily Martin born 1879/80 Bermondsey Soutwark England.

The last time I found her was with her Mother and siblings in 1891 living at 255 Hanover buildings Horsleydown St Olave London. She is 12. After that she seems to disappear. I know she is alive 1942 time as she is mentioned in her Mothers will. Unfortunately she is only noted as 'my daughter Lilly' no married or maiden name is given.

Would be grateful of any help given

I can't find Lilly or Allen in 1901. I can't find Lilly dying or remarrying. Drawn a blank.

Have looked in IGI and on there it lists Lilly Martin marrying Leonard Allen 1896. It notes her father as being John Squire Martin? Her Father was John Savoury Martin.

Should I take this as being a match and that whoever typed up IGI got it wrong?

If she did marry Leonard Allen can they be found together on 1901 census?

So it looks as though IGI has it entered incorrect as well then. Funny how it lists Lilly's Father nearly the same as what it is?

I looked on ancestry free bmd and I couldnt find a death for Leonard Martin Allen b1900

I suppose it will be one of those that you just can't crack.

I dont know the census reference but Lilly's Mum's name was

She is with her children
Josiah Martin b1875 southwark
Mary " b1877 "
Lily " b1879 "
Bertha " b 1880 "
Jessie " b1887 "

And she is with visitor
Frederick Ball b1860 widower
and his children. Funny how she later married him.

But then that's another mystery with this family. Lilly's father john Savoury Martin just seems to disappear Maria is still a married women in 1891 but John is no where to be found? Did she have Frederick Ball already lined up?
