It gives Elizabeth as wife of Thomas and she is listed directly under him. So Hannah must have died and he remarried.

John is listed at end of family and brother to Thomas the head of household. It doesn't give John's marital status.

elizabeth parents were willoughby pickering b 1842 blackfordby and the above john pickering is one of his brothers so by what youve said could john have been born earlier in 1821 and still be willoughbys brother ?????

This is Willoughby's family in 1851, the family you posted at the start of your lookup is a completely different family.Both have a John but one age 11 and one 30
