I am trying to find the birth for Rose Lilian Farthing born 1914 or thereabouts in either Tooting or Ipswich. He father was Frederick Farthing and her mother was Alice Farthing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Could it be that indeed an elder daughter had the child and the grandmother brought it up? |

Selena I am not sure about the Bosmere connection. I am wondering if this couple have the same surnames but are not the Ipswich lot. |

It was compulsory to register a birth from about 1875 ........... but I suppose some people risked the fine or whatever the punishment was! |
