Hi once again to all who have been very helpful in my quest to find Austin Betts, again a big thankyou,
I merrily went to work this morning only to end up spending all afternoon in hospital as my mum was admitted.
Any way have been able to scan read what info you chaps kindly left, and have found it would explain why the two Austins disappeared, Austin Snr seems to have left his wife behind or she was dead, will look into this, also double check on the other two siblings
Emily and Ann, however I'm fairly sure Ann married a Henry White, whom I found a birth for as Hezekiah white same year and area...However tonight I'm somewhat braindead, will post any conclusions that I find when I can sense of them. Its taken me 25 mins to post this as I keep hitting the wrong keys,

I don't have worldwide Ancestry but top of the immigration/emigration list is an Austin Betts b. abt 1849 going to New York. Don't know what year though as cannot see more than that.
Would be worth putting up a thread asking for immigration look up for him.

Thankyou for that, as you may be aware from an earlier response, I am wondering if he left the country, can you or anyone else recommend a site that gives passenger listings free??
Hubbys now out of work and cannot justify spending more money on my hobby.
