Find Ancestors

Hi,
I'm trying to find a death record for Mary Ellen Demunnik. I know Mary Ellen gave birth to a daughter Mary Elizabeth in 1902 (she died the same year.
Mary Ellen's husband John remarried in 1911 and it shows on his wedding certificate that he was a Widow.
I have searched BMD quarters 1902 - 1911, Ancestry and IGI - don't know if I am missing something.
Hoping someone may have more luck than me.

Hi Christine,
The first one is her daughter, born and died in 1902. The seond is Mary's brother in law.
Have certificates for both of these, it is the death of Mary Ellen that is proving elusive.

Hi Shirley,
John was Mary Ellen's Father in law. I have all the other Demunnik records, it's just Mary Ellen's death record I am chasing - hope to work backwards to seek her birth records.

the birth record of the little girl will give Marys maiden name .the marriage cert too will give her age and her fathers name

My trouble is I have 3 families that fit the information I have. Mary Ellen's Father was John, born Hull, Yorkshire. Mary Ellen was born 1869/1870, was hoping I may be able to narrow done and not have to buy all 3 certificates to obtain the correct one.

I can see no death for Mary Ellen.

Nor can I see a second marriage for John in 1911 - can you give details please?

How do you know Mary Ellen's father was John and what details do you have on him please?

Sorry Christine - perhaps it is me but Mary Ellen married John Demunnik - therefore her father is unlikely to be a Demunnik? and if you mean on the 1901 - he is her father-in-law !

Am I confused here?

If I have the correct marriage her father's name would probably be Eaton - I am wondering what she knows about Mary Ellen's father so we can trace back to possible birth which she says she hasn't got and is looking for.

What happened to John Demunnik born c 1894 to John + Mary Ellen in Liverpool?

Hi All,
Mary Ellen Eaton married John Demunnik in Liverpool in 1890. Their son John born May 1894 sadly died in Dec 1894.
Mary Ellen was born in 1870 in Hull, her Father was also John. With the names John and Mary Ellen Eaton I have 3 possible matches from the 1881 census. I cannot find John and Mary Ellen Demunnik on the 1891 census just the 1901 which shows Mary Ellen's age as 30 which matches with her birth certificate. I was hoping to find her death certificate to try and confirm her age to narrow down the 3 birh possibilites. Although I have had a tough time matching census records with the spelling and transcribing of Demunnik I have been able to find all BMD certificates but I cannot find Mary Ellen's death. John married in 1911 to Ethel Mary Milican.

I am really sorry if I can't follow this and it is just me BUT:

I do not understand how you know that Mary Ellen's father was John.

I do not see 3 Mary's on 1881 born in Yorkshire c 1870 with John as a father born in Hull

Can you post details of the 3 possible births you are considering and census details from 1881 please?

You also say her age on 1901 at 30 matches up with her birth certificate, yet you are trying to narrow down her birth from three possibles???

Hi Dea,
I know Mary Ellen's Father is John from her marriage certificate. The only record of Hull is from the 1901 census (am still searching 1891 for confirmation). I cannot find John and Mary Ellen Eaton on 1881 census either - got info from IGI. Am dashing off to work (already late) will post IGI info later this afternoon.

If you have the marriage cert - can you post ALL the details from it please - names, ages, occupation, addresses, witnesses etc.

According to the 1901 census Mary Ellen was born Hull, Yorkshire - cannot find a birth.
Cannot confirm Eaton family on 1871 or 1881 census so do not know when they moved to Liverpool. Hoping if I found death certificate it may have her sister or Mother as informant - know it is a long shot but hoping. Have found all other Demunnik certificates but struggling with this one.
