I can't find a birth for Robert Smailes on freebmd, is there anyone who could try for me, He died in 1948 aged 61. I am also confused about his marriage, any help would be great x

unfortunately it doesn't match up to the Ellen Webb from freebmd :-(

iF he married Elizabeth Renner in 1920 he would have been 33, i think maybe he was to old ???? - sorry just clutching at straws a bit and trying to get it straight in my head. I thought that there was an Edmund Smailes listed as one of the brothers of William, Albert, Jane and Joyce. Nobody seems to know about the Annie Smailes born JUNE 1932.

I have been trying to get onto freebmd.org this morning to double check the info i have, but i am struggling a bit. oh well i'll keep trying.

Cassandra, it could be his marriage, he was 21 in 1908 so could be right, i am not going to dismiss it at the moment. Lets hope we can find the two males next.
