This one does seem to have believed her name was "Jesser Jane"!

She does look the part for ours.

I suspect the place of birth in 1841 was one of those who-cares, assumption, kind of reports.

She seems to be the same person in the same household, 1841 and 1851 -- Ann in 1841, Alinda in 1851.

Could be her marrying?

So the 1841 confirms her Scupham connection. Wonder if Jessie Jane Usher died.

Presumably John is Alinda's grandfather, and Wardle and William are her uncles.

According to submitted records in the IGI, their mother was Elizabeth Bemrose, married 15 JAN 1797 Fishtoft, Lincoln, England (also submitted).

She very possibly was -- it looks like she's a granddaughter of the Ushers she's living with.

There's no trace of John or Hannah Usher in 1841, so it looks like they died before that (and before 1837; I checked for deaths at FreeBMD).

Alinda hasn't been spotted in 1841, has she?
