Find Ancestors

Could someone look on the 1891 census for this man please?
William Staddon born 1843 in Dawlish Devon.
He had married in late 1881 in Poplar area of London ,but by 1891 his wife and son were living with a different man still in Poplar.
I can't see a suitable death,so wondered if William was still alive?
Thanks for any help

Having a problem locating him in any census.
Did he marry Susannah or Rosa?
What were the children called.
Who is she living with in 1891

I have not found him on 1881 either.
He married susannah Ridgeley in Poplar 1881 (25/12/1881)
His parents were William and Jane.
One son William born 1883 Bromley,Poplar.
1891 Susannah and William are living with Francis Harrap,she says wife but no marriage recorded,
Susannah died end of 1891

I am wondering whether he could have been married beofe coming to London..
On his marriage he claims to be single,but you never know!
He was rather old for a first marriage in those days.

And on that note I can't find the marriage at all in 1881, do you have a copy of the cert?

How inconsiderate of them to marry after the 1881 census! I've been looking for William too,very elusive.
Can I ask how you have his mother's name?

As he was a railway guard, he could turn up anywhere really - we have some railway workers and they can be a bit of a nightmare.

Yes,I have the marriage cert. His father is named as Wm Staddon and place of birth is Dawlish.
His birth says MMN is Battin so I found them all on IGI.All in Dawlish Devon.
Not found any trace of him in 1881 (for definite)
Maybe he is one of the ones you found and perhaps widowed/divorced???by time of marriage to Susannah.But why say he is a bachelor?
Also,as I said,can't see him at all in 1891,but he doesn't seem to have died until the following year.
Why do I always get the horrible ones?

Qinsgran has given grandad but not his father which is the one we are looking for. or rather his wife Staddons all done back as far paper records allow.

His wife. Susannah RIDGLEY married 25/12/1881. Poplar Father James Ridgley Railway worker.Bothe parents died when grandad was young , but Susannah I find untracable.

The 1881 census I gave has William Sraddon 1845 Dawlish.occ railway guard. Living in the correct area for his marriage.
His name is obviously mistranscribed but you need to check the census image to see that.

Can you find the family in 1871,1891.
You notice the marriage and dates for the children match those of the Ridgway family in 1881. Im sure its the same family mistranscribed.
