I have been doing this side of tree for a few yrs and have John Alderson born after 1900 in Liverpool and died as a baby...mother Louisa Green...pa walter herbert alderson...., he was my grandmothers brother, but have been contacted by a family member who says he was born in 1917, he wasnt coz his sister frances was born sept 1917..and he married Alice Sainsbury, i knew one of the boys did marry her...can i ask if someone could look up and see if their were 2 brothers with the name John....i have looked cannot see them....thanks...Joanie

I think the only way to know for sure would be to buy both Certificates as there is nowhere you can just check
Maybe they did have another son and called him John

Also you say you have a John born after 1900......where have you that info from

The family lived in liverpool and parents married in 1895, i know one daug caroline was born in 20/01/1897 then a son henrey 1/2/1898 then a son walter 2nd q..1900....then another 1904 plus 1905 plus 1906...all confirmed..last one confirmed 1917 Frances....Joanie

My mother told me one john was born before her mother and my mother had a fantastic memory...99% of what she said was right....NO...I have never asked about the aldersons ...Joanie

20/01/1897 caroline/charlotte alderson bap st peters liverpool..she was called after grandma caroline.
01/02/1898 Henry son of walter & Louisa of Lionel st liverpool ...bapt st peters liverpool as harry

Yes i have got william john's birth so thought i had found him, but this lady Alice Sainsbury b. 1921... who i remember my mother talking about, says she was married to John Alderson...as u can see she is quite elderly so trying to get more details from her...so this John had to be born later eitherbetween 1908 when william john was born and 1911 or after 1917...sorry folks its driving me mad.....thanks Joanie

There is no Alice Sainsbury born in 1921 - the nearest is Alice B. Sainsbury born in 1920 in Wiltshire.

There is no Sainsbury/Alderson marriage.

There is a marriage for an Alice SANDSBURY to John Alderson in 1945.

It might be best to get the M/C for John to Alice to see it his dads details matches up to Walters

Thanks folks for your kind help...her name must be miss pelt as she is sainsbury i have checked...and yes marriage cert maybe what is needed here to confirm details, i have asked for a meet so that may help.....as i am talking through a third party who is doing her best....once again thank you for your help..wow so her name wasnt misspelt....
And Jim, what you have some of them are the same family, thanks for your help too

I think her name must have been Sandsbury originally as it is unlikely to have been transcribed wrongly by two different people on her birth and on her marriage.

Perhaps it's just the way it is pronounced that makes people think it is Sainsbury.
