Mark thank you so much you have solved another problem I was facing.
Ethel Margeurite was my gt grandmother , we knew she was born before her mother married a Uings, but I didnt know who her father was or her surname.
This is amazing, word of mouth was that her father was French but dont know if this was true or not.
:-) :-)

Can you tell me where you got this info from, I dont know how to find certain info .

Thanks so much Chris Ho that is absolutely wonderful. I wondered if that was what happened to them. Just John to find out about then. They also travelled to Malta I wonder if he went with them and died there?

Thanks also alviegal about the info for James, my great aunt who died at the age of 104 remembered him and filled me in with some info, but these extra bits are really useful.

Still trying to find what may of happened to Phyllis, John and Winifred. James and William Henry were on the 1901 census living with their grandparents in Worcester. But I can't find anything about the other 3. I am starting to wonder if they died as small children in India. Any ideas as to how I would find out about this.

Any help appreciated or I might just give up on it :-(
