Hi Debra, I assume that this is not an English/Welsh marriage certificate as they do not state places of birth.

As for Little London, Wikipedia has an entry for Little London, Hampshire here:-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_London,_Tadley,_Hampshire

Could this be the place? If you google Little London, there are quiet a few entries.

If you have the marriage cert look up the marriage again on FreeBMd and it should tell you the county.if you click on the town name.

England's H counties are Hertford(shire), Hereford(shire) and Hampshire (where hurricanes hardly ever happen), plus Huntingdonshire.

Thank you for your help,I think I will try Hampshire,The Marriage took place in Queensland Australia, and are now listed as the last Pioneers of Queensland. So they will be in the history books, and I would like to find out more about them,So the right information would be very much welcome.

Perhaps Australian marraige certs give birth places.

I've never seen one, but I wish they'd done that in the UK!

My great granparents came over from England and Scotland and were Married in Australia!Even though they were not born here, they married here in 1886,So they are now in the History books classed as the last Pioneers in Queensland. The marriage certificate is hand written and very hard to read,as it looks like ink was used..* The birth places are placed but very hard to read with the ink smudged on the paper. Lets thank the person who invented the biro!

Derr...I am with you now!

If you put the details on here we could check them out on a census for you and maybe get the county/town of birth

If they were born after 1837 they should be on the BMD?

Edit

Laszlo Biro Jan, just googled

any parents for George?

There are these 2 towns in hampshire with 'little' included

Little Somborne <<<<<<<<This could easily be mistaken for Little London

Littleton

Could it be one of these?

'' mother is named Rachel Rampton. I guess these people came from England? I was always under the impression that George came from around Reading, but seems its not the case. Debra I just found Rachel's birth Monk,Sherbourn,Hampshire, !!!
