Monk Sherborne is 5 km NW of Basingstoke. Kingsclere is the next rego district; the town itself is 20km WNW of Basingstoke and Reading is 25km N of Basingstoke. Monk Sherborne is 4km SW of Little London. |

My great granparents came over from England and Scotland and were Married in Australia!Even though they were not born here, they married here in 1886,So they are now in the History books classed as the last Pioneers in Queensland. The marriage certificate is hand written and very hard to read,as it looks like ink was used..* The birth places are placed but very hard to read with the ink smudged on the paper. Lets thank the person who invented the biro! |

Thank you for your help,I think I will try Hampshire,The Marriage took place in Queensland Australia, and are now listed as the last Pioneers of Queensland. So they will be in the history books, and I would like to find out more about them,So the right information would be very much welcome. |

England's H counties are Hertford(shire), Hereford(shire) and Hampshire (where hurricanes hardly ever happen), plus Huntingdonshire. |

If you have the marriage cert look up the marriage again on FreeBMd and it should tell you the county.if you click on the town name. |

Hi Debra, I assume that this is not an English/Welsh marriage certificate as they do not state places of birth. |
