Hi Sherran.

I dont know of a Gaytown cemetery in Vic.?
So i imagine you mean "Graytown"

Now an old Ghost town, with just a few remaining slabs of concrete and debris lying about. I have been there, as i had an interest in old Ghost towns of Victoria once upon a time, and also had an interest in a resident who once lived there in the 1870s. Elizabeth Barnes

I also have an old surveyors map of the area. ( street map ) showing blocks of land and owners.

Its not far from Nagambie and an old P.O.W camp.
The cemetery itself is hidden, as for reasons you say. It was uncared for.
There is a web site showing some burials ( but not all )
You may have already seen it.

I also noticed a residence listing

Residents of Spring Creek / Graytown 1869-1877

BLADES, Elizabeth Married Woman 1869

BLADES, John Sellers Storekeeper 1869

Cheers.

Yes Tony, that would be them.

Sorry I left out the R in Graytown.

Most were buried in Benalla ot Greta, so dunno why they got over near Nagambie.

John was a storekeeper.

So now to go backwards with all your information!

I had a great success with my mothers side, Patricia has taken way back to Ireland. My mum would have been proud of her background, I wish she was still alive to tell her.

Will keep on researching, thanks for your help this far.
