Hmmmmmmmmmmmm ................... Walter Abraham died in the Jan-Mar quarter of 1890. I wonder if it was before or after the children were baptized??

perhaps the priest did it as a job lot. ! It doesn't say father deceased ?

it's quite common to see several children being baptized at the same time ...... probably cheaper!


I was only curious about whether he was alive or dead as the baptism date was Mar 19, and he had to have died before Mar 30 in order to be registered in the March quarter.


I'm not sure whether the baptism record would have said he was deceased or not ....... I guess that depends on what the mother told the vicar.


It alos depends on whether he died after an illness or suddenly (eg accident).



Whatever, the kids were orphaned young as Phoebe died only 5 years later
