Yes, as Alfred Jasperson the 1881 census with Emily shown as Emily Jasperson with head of family (husband?) Jasper Jasperson but I haven't been able to trace any marriage between Emily and Jasper between Alfreds birth in 1878 and the 1881 census. |

Yes, all sorts, so many I've lost track. Alfred is shown as Alfred Jasperson in the 1881 census and Emily as Emily Jasperson with husband(?) Jasper Jasperson although I have been unable to trace any marriage between Jasper and Emily between Alfreds birth and the 1881 census. The 1881 census shows Emily as 25 yrs old ie born 1857 in Bloomsbury, Middlesex. |

Thanks. I have that already but of course there is no father shown to Alfred Thomas Low and by the 1881 census Emily is shown as Emily Jasperson and Alfred as Alfred Jasperson although there appears to be no record anywhere betwen Alfred's birth and the 1881 census of any marriage. Any ideas? |

Yes. She's shown as Emily Jasperson by that time but I can find no record of any marriage for her between when Alfred Thomas Low was born 25/3/1878 and the 1881 census, hence my enquiry. any ideas? |

Unless you can say how old she was when she had the illegitimate child, or where she was born, it will not be possible to help you. |
