Trying to find info on Ernest but maybe Eward Spellward he was married to my nan Emily Wordley I think he may have swapped his first name around sometimes I think he was born 1887 but cannot find any info on him or his family have tryed other sites driving me crazy. he & emily lived in plumstead and then woolwich I cant even find any death records on him.

EDIT - I'm with it now!

Thanks for the help & sorry forelay in replying, now I have the birth cert of his daughter ada, have ordered the marriage cert but as i live in Austrralia they take a while to arrive. Now I know him and emily had 7 children all born before the marraige but only 5 had his name the other two where wordleys ( my mother was one) they must of all thought they was already married as my mum and her brother grow up with the sigma of being barstards. The only thing my mum and aunt told us was that he used to beat my nan and they often had to run and get the policeman. ( nice Man)

You have a lot of info and I think the death may be right my parents married in 1942 and I don't think that he was there I have also ordered my parents marriage cert asthey both dead

I assume Amy was one who was born Wordley? Who was the other one and when were they born? Have you looked at the 1911 census?

How do I get access to 1911 census, why would they have changed the way they spelled spellward.

I think that george was the other wordley he was born in 1910 but not absolute sure

I have no knowledge of a harriett could she have died as a baby the children I have for Emily And ernest ( or what ever name he was using) is Ada, James, ethel, nora, Richard, Amy & George ( who where wordleys)
This is a real puzzle.
