This was a survey of property occupiers in Ireland made between 1848 and 1864 it lists almost every "head of household" for each county. So the names listed are just that .... 3 individual families. Do you have any idea of Michaels fathers' occupation...??

Michaels Birth date puts the age for Mary at the minimum about 55... The problem you may have is there were McCarthy's and O'Driscoll marriages and vice versa all over the area.... We need to have something else to narrow the search.. Was Michael Baptised in St.Barrahanes Church...? What do you know about Patrick ..? Did you notice the "Official signatory" on the Census at No 79 ....Jeremiah McCarthy (Constable)!!

Castlehaven is a small village (also a parish in itself) near to Union Hall....which is in the Parish of Mycross... That being said..the family you note for house no.79 (1911 Census) is Mary McCarthy not Driscoll although there are Driscolls living in the same street. I have found 2 Jeremiah Driscoll's with wife Mary in the Unionhall area... Jeremiah Driscoll and Mary Hayes...Have not located their marriage so far. Jeremiah Driscoll (Son of Bart.Driscoll) and Mary Driscoll...they married in Skibbereen in 1864. Do you have any bros.sisters for your grandfather apart from Patrick..?
