Patricia, I found Sarah, aged 23, servant, living (or working) at 13 Springfield Villa, Hampstead, with sister Mary Elizabeth, aged 17, in the 1851 census, page 19, H107,1492.) No Robert, but somewhere I found a possible Robert as a coffin maker, not after 1841census. He was a carpenter at the time of Sarah's wedding. The marriage register page 154, item 307. Other witnesses were Mary Bloice, Henry Wilton and George Yarrow. |

Mel, It seems Robert was an itinerant carpenter, but I have only a hazy idea of London/UK geography, so have no idea if it could be Sarah's school. Sorry. M |

Sorry, I missed this query. I only have written transcript of the one marriage cert. and no ages, only 'bachelor' and 'spinster'. However, I know William L Hatfield ( his father also W L) was born in 1827, father c1800; Sarah c1828, Robert Bloice c1804. He was also listed as a coffin maker, I think 1841 census. There is no death date. Could he have come to Oz, or gone to the USA? |

Thank you all, this has been helpful in confirming most of my info, except Sam Bloice's second marriage. That was a surprise. I have printed off all your contributions but have to sign off now. It's 7.45pm here. Thanks heaps, M |

Does it state on any of the actual certificates if Robert were alive or dead? |

Thanks, Choccy, Mel and Patricia. I had Sarah's marriage certificate but wanted to find Robert. Not in 1851 or 1861 as far as I can see. Plenty of other Bloice familied I think are related to R and Sarah, but I can't prove it. Sarah and William are my gggrandparents. Thanks choccy for Samuel's info That helps, too. |
