Also many thanks to Jansmith, SylviaInCanada and tempest for confirming that although I'm still wearing my 'L' plates the last few months haven't been a waste of my time and we all agree on the birth certificate, birth register and 1911 census for my grandad! |

That's what I meant -- I focused on the Kensington one because we were told London. Lambeth isn't technically London, but I guess akcant decided at some point that that was the correct birth. |

I've received the birth certificate for my grandfather, Albert Edward Hearn, born 17 December 1910, registered 20 January 1911 Lambeth, Kennington. It states his father is Albert Edward Hearn and mother is Elizabeth Emily Hearn (formerly Leadbetter), father's occupation General Labourer, signed by mother and address as 37 Auckland Street, Vauxhall, London. So I'm confused as to where John and Louisa as the parents appear. |
