Can anyone help me find a Solomon Wagstaff he was born in Gambling Gay Cambridge. The only thng i know is that he had three children .Betty Wagstaff was born in Royston Yorkshire in1924.She had a Sister Nellie and a brother Herbert.Bettys mother was a Emma Jane Sykes before she married .Betty is not able to give any dates all she knows is that her gradparents were farming people and that her grandfather was a part time preacher. She was going to try and trace her family with a cousin some years ago but he died before they were able to begin.Time now is in short supply.

Lexie,

Having read your thread here, i would say maybe if the lady you are helping is old a touch of embelishment isn't going to hurt?

Maybe you ought to dress things up a litle and not be completely honest with her. If she's had this belief all her life there's not going to be any benefit breaking this?

I know it goes against all we do here, but sometimes it's best to leave people with their memories of how they believed life used to be, or stories they were told by elders, because those elders themselves had embelished the truth to make them seem more socially acceptable?.
