Earnest my father .and george i think that his parents were william edwin Rea and Mary alice pittam but am not really sure if anyone can help i would be so grateful also also my uncle says that his grandfather drowned in the rocket pool bradley he said it was strange because he was a champion swimmer poss william edwin rea and then his wife remarried unknown malkin

The birth cert will confirm full names of both parents - and his birthplace

i think it was a family treebut they did not get past william edwin either

If you think William Edwin married to Mary Pittam is the right father for benjamin, you need his marriage cert to find out his father's name.

Look at 1881 census, and see if you can find them

No probs about the slow typing - but I do have a problem with the idea of you accepting info from someone else's tree without anything to back it up.

It is not advisable to rely on anyone's info other than that which you have found yourself, and can verify with documents.

If I were you, I'd definitely get the birth cert - unless someone else on here can shed any light on it.

The main hitch in all of this is that there is no way to see William with his family after he married, as he died before 1901 census...................so a cert is essential for accurate progress.

I've been trying to find Benjamin on a census return - so far, without success......but, I'll keep looking for a few more minutes - if I can stay awake!
