Thanks you for all the other information Ellen - I had the Hectors down but not to the extent you've gone too.

This section deals with all the resources available to you to help you with your research.
The aim of the ScotlandsPeople Centre is to make tracing your family history an easy and enjoyable experience. All records have been digitised so there is no need to spend time looking up large cumbersome registers and you can do all your research at your desk calling up instant images on your computer screen.
On the left you will see sections on getting started, information about the records available, hints on research, other search aids available such as the library and tips on understanding old handwriting and terminology.
Staff will be on hand to help you get started with your searching if you need it and if you need more in depth help with your research you can book an assisted search with a member of staff who will sit with you for up to two hours helping you with your tree.
You can also print or save images to a memory stick so you will have a permanent reminder of your work.
The menu on the left will give you more information on any of these topics.
Can' find a charge yet for using a memory stick

Ellen, is there a charge for that please? Is the same cost as taking a printout? I have been through recently but tend to get the prinouts to have a paper trail in front of me as I find it easier to follow the line.

Are you looking for siblings of Maxwell Dowling Anderson please? Just checking if I am reading your request properly.
If you are then searching for siblings born after 1911, especially with the surname Anderson could prove quite expensive. Scottish births after 1909 are only available by ordering actual certificates. They cannot be view online using Scotlandspeople. The only way to check if Anderson births in the correct area are Maxwell's siblings is by buying the certificates and checking if the parents match.
If you are lucky enough to be able to visit the Scotlandspeople Centre (New Register House) in Edinburgh then the daily fee to search Including these more recent records is £10. You can look at as many register entries as time permits. You cannot take prinouts of births prior to 1909, marriages 1934 and deaths 1959 but you many look at the entries and make notes.
EDIT
The most recent Scottish census available is the 1901, the 1911 will not be released until 2011.
