Trying to find where Frances Hart buried in September 1977 following her death in a car crash in Geneva in August 1977. She was buried in a churchyard in West Kent - can anyone help locate her?

Try the archives of local newspapers - there was probably a funeral notice..............

Think her parents lived in the Brasted/Ide Hill area of West Kent.....

Thanks for the reply, I wondered if Frances had been buried anywhere near us.
If you google "Brasted Churches" and "Ide Hill Churches" you may be able to conctact them and ask if they can look in the registers for you.
Do you know if she may have any family living in the area?

Thanks your help. We have already contacted Brasted & Ide Hill Churches directly and she is not buried at either place. Neither West Malling, Tudeley, Capel, Biddenden, Chevening, Bearsted, Benenden, Sundridge, Detling or Boxley. We have not had replies from East Malling, Barming, Bidborough or Brenchley. Worried that may have missed some that don't know about! We don't think that there is any family left living in the area but as have lost touch cannot be sure. Any suggestions? Julia

Dear Julia,
Are you sure Frances was buried in Kent, or could she have been cremated? Is there a possibility she was cremated abroad, and her ashes brought home.
Do you have any more details about the family - was she married - did she have children - anything at all may help us find her for you.
Kind regards, Liz

The death was registered in Geneva in l978 - Frances Jane Hart aged 29 years.

Frances was definitely buried in early (ish) Sept 1977 in a grave where her Mother is buried in Kent. Frances was single with no children. Mothers name: either Elizabeth Jane or Jane Elizabeth Sear. Siblings of Frances are Hilary, Barbara & David Hart (latest known in Billingshurst). She attended Benenden school from age 11-18 (I have tried Benenden old girls association but no luck there either....Her parents lived in Bearsted. Frances was born in Bromley in July 1948. Hope this helps - really appreciate everyone's advice!

It may be a long shot but have you tried to contact any of the local funeral directors as she was bought back from abroad and under such sad circumstances someone may remember, she may be in the local public cemetery. Bearsted Parish council also have a forum they may be able to help

Dear Liz
We can't get a reply from the number at the moment but we will also write and hope to get a reply. In the meantime is there any way we can find where Frances' mother is buried or where any of the other siblings may be living? Will keep you posted on whether we get a reply from David.
best regards
Julia

Dear Julia,
If it is the correct no., perhaps the family are on holiday. If you go to Records office on the site, a member called Jean offers to do electoral roll look ups. If you send her the details she may be able to tell you who is living at that address. Will see if I can think of any other ideas - do you know if Hilary or Barbara married, and if so, their married names.
Kind regards, Liz
