I have read that a south african death notice has a lot more information on it than a UK death cert, it has a lot of family details like spouse, childrens names, parents names, home address, which could be a very useful thing when researching south african relatives.

I have found a death for two of your Westwoods

Peter Craig Westwood, Wife - isabella Ross, maiden name Patterson. Died - 1928
Isabella Westwood, Spouse, peter Craig, Died 1950.

These were in South Africa, i found them on a South African webpage, if you want the address just let me know.

To search his death on there I will have to trawl and need an estimate please.

Hi Ginny, yes thats the family, I have found all of them in Australia. The only ones left to find deaths for is Peter Craig Westwood, whom I now think died in South Africa. The father William Westwood age 48yrs on the 1881 census, unsure if he went to Australia, have been unable to find a death for him in Australia or SCT

Im not helping with his death, but this is him before he went away

That would be the 1st WW, I wonder if that could be his son Peter Craig Westwood (they had same name) he was born 1895 and he may have been born in Sth Arfica. I dont know alot about this side of the family, I'm sorry.
