I was going to say that he could be abroad, if he were a soldier in 1891.
But it looks like solicitor, which is a much more unadventurous occupation (supposedly).

That would make sense seeing as in 1871 he was a Law Student!! lol

Do ya know what, some I can read (not many I grant you) but some are plain as day to read and they still get it wrong :o/ theres a sibling for Franklyn and Madeline named ALDOGS apparently!! I've NO idea what it said so I cant really whinge!!

Well done Jax! Have you checked original? Impossible to read central bit so I think the transcriber has made an educated guess.
