...............^..............yours.

Since they changed the boards on here I have hardly "helped"anyone.
There just are not the posts that there used to be and I have been forced to spend time on my own tree and all my sons fathers and all my DILS.....

Boy what a mess mine is in thats for sure..But I am setting it to rights slowly and getting a long list of "must have"certs compiled for when I win the lottery..!

Dea

Dea Report 11 Jul 2011 20:49

I really ought to do that too Fans !!

I have a LOT of work to do on my tree but I used to find helping on here more interesting !!

I REALLY must 'knock it on the head' and work on my own families !!!

Night Dea x

I have done a bit on my tree lately, but they are only branches so its not as interesting if they are no real ancestor I found what I wanted with my direct ancestors in the first couple of weeks...the rest is just filling in time

I have got twigs and branches everywhere. I have one family where two of my grandfather's women cousins married two brothers.. that family was so interesting to research and I got so many questions when I put up various names so much so I now have coffee with a couple of them.

But you are right, I look at the boards but unless it says NZ, I cannot be bothered looking... very negative... maybe because it is winter here.

Anyway enough about that I thought I would put up Breakfast:

Breakfast is usually the most relaxed—and often the best—meal of the day. People are still in pyjamas (Gins) and hair curlers (Jonesey), half dressed (Fans), or fresh from a morning shower (Dea, Cyns, Jax and others)

For starters we can have, fresh fruit, homemade yoghurt, cereals, toast from a bread of your choice, spreads, juice and delicious savoury wagon cakes heated in the microwave served with homemade relish.

Chicken, Pinot, Bacon & Mushrooms — a crafty blend of ingredients that creates a sense of synergy to the tastebuds.

Cheeses, salmon, mussels, sausages, cold cuts, chutneys, spreads, dips, pate, chocolates, nuts and dried fruit to snack away at all day long.

There is also scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, Boston Baked Beans, Kippers, Black Pudding, Savoury Mince & Egg Foo Yung.

Sorry there are no tomatoes we can only get Aussie imports at the moment and they along with their green beans, courgettes etc are very very expensive.

Hot chocolate (wif marshmallows), coffee, tea and Milo.

There ya go!!

Thank you SO much Persie - you always provide such interesting and different breakfasts <3

This all looks very lovely and smells delicious!

I think I will have to start at one end of the table and work my way along as I just don't know what to choose :-D

Will be back for more when I have emptied my first plateful.

Morning all.....

Does anyone know if the ref number for a marriage in Oz is the same for the bride and the groom?

What I mean is, if I search for a marriage under the mans details and no bride is listed, just the year/ref and then I search for the woman and get the same details except the ref number is different

I would have thought this would be two different marriages....but?

Gins .....

I did fresh and dried fruit, nuts, home made yoghurt, cereals, toast - of any sort of bread you like, you can have anything you like on your toast and the Egg Foo Yung only has vegetables in it. And you want a croissant... well I am sorry I burnt them, never was very good at making them..... I can make you some golden syrup pikelets they are like a British griddle cake or drop scone..... sheesh.

Persie :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

Hi Ginny

Yes the ref number should be the same for bride and groom! :-)

Where are you searching? (ie database/state)

Gee

Gee Report 12 Jul 2011 10:44

Hi Cherilyn

I thought that must be the case. I was just searching Ancestry and put the two names in seperatley and they both came up same year/place but different ref numbers

It was someone elses thread on here this morning, cant remember who is was but one name was a Ruby Green and the other Ronald Johnston

Afternoon all.

Gosh, what a breakfast I missed Perse - anything left?

Another morning at my volunteer desk - which I love. However, I do wonder why some people ask for directions and are halfway down the corridor before we've had time to draw breath!

Then we have the smokers who stagger out of the doors, clutching their drips, to go and stand outside the hospital grounds because they need a smoke.

We used to have smoking shelters but they have long gone so you often see patients standing on the main road in their nightwear.

Tis quiet round here this morning .....
