The thing is about Cliff that he 'probably' was Gay !!!

However, he never did anything about it !!!

He lived a 'celibate' life !!!

I didnt say there was anything wrong with batting for the other side Ginns - just that I wasnt aware that Cliff had 'come out'.

I agree that you should be proud of what and who you are!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 20 Nov 2011 19:29

Don't think Cliff has ever 'come out' to be honest. Just 'cos someone doesn't get married doesn't mean to say they are gay. There are still celibate people around y'know!

Anyhow, how can anyone NOT watch the news, read the papers etc? You must live in a flippin' bubble Lainie!!! I'm not really into politics etc. but I do like to know what is going on............not that I'm nosey of course!! Can't be doing with so-called celebrities though.

I like Philip Glenister too Gins........I like a man with 'character'! That's probably why I like Alexander Armstrong!

Now I'll agree with Cynthia about Alexander, AND he's funny, And he's a local lad!

jax Report 20 Nov 2011 19:45

I sort of watch the news, never read a paper or magazine...well not in the last couple of years anyway.

Very rarely watch a film...and then I dont normally know who the actors are.

I did go and see pirates of the caribbean with a daughter so knew who JD was but had no idea who this new bloke was.

As for Cliff he aint doing bad for a 71 year old and was reading his autobiography a couple of years ago but HID has hidden all my stuff so never finished it :-D

Most of the people I liked are now quite old or dead...David Cassidy, Ben Murphy and Jan Michael Vincent, Billy Fury,Steve Mcqueen to name a few

quick visit

have niece and her 2 sons (1 and 3) coming to visit for the afternoon ............. they have to spend 9 hours between planes at the airport. We live less than 10 minutes away, so it makes sense for them to spend time with us.

OH has just left, so he will be there when the plane arrives.

won't be back until after you guys have gone to bed.

Cliff Richards has not come out.

I was reading something about him only yesterday ...... apparently a new radio station in the UK, going to specialize in 60s music, has banned him, as he is not "representative" of that ere :-S :-S :-S

One of the things I read said that he lived with a priest, who was his proprty manager and friend, but he denied being gay ...... saying ti was no-one's business.

I remember him starting ........ my landlady's daughter was crazy about him, and I took her to see him in his first movie!

Being 23, I was considered a safe escort for a 16 year old :-D

Their choice.

Hi dea

I should be OK thanks . xxxx

...........OH will be taking them back to the airport about 7:30 pm ........ she wants plenty of time to get through security, etc, and get settled.

The kiddies will be pretty tired by then.

They arrive in Whitehorse at about midnight ............. and the temperature will be about -26C

It's 7 weeks since they left, for holidays, which included about 3 weeks in Mexico, so they don't have too many warm clothes.

The 3 year old had to borrow some of his cousin's clothes earlier this week while up seeing his grandmother

............. he thought pink boots were "cool"! :-D

Morning everyone from a very very tired me down under.

Have had way too busy a weekend and have picked up a cold again from my acting boss. Hopefully I can get rid of it by the time I go to hospital, I was so cross he came in spluttering and sneezing and coughing and wouldn't go home :-P

Hope you all have been having fun, looks like there has been lots of discussion about Cliff Richard. Did you all hear the news that one of the Gibbs brother's I've forgotten his name is battling liver cancer..very sad :-(

I turn up and wonder why there is a picture of Philip Glenister as Ginny's avatar and had to go way back to see why... We have Mad Dogs on tonight ... final episode.. Max Beesley is fairly quiet in this one... I first really watched him in that medical drama called "Bodies" ... it was a bit like watching fly on the wall documentary or reality TV at times... it really was let's show everything.

I had to check who is Alexander Armstrong... yes seen him in lots of programmes.. sort of one of those that is good but don't remember his name category.

Colin Farrel... In Bruges...great movie .. laughed and came out of the theatre thinking now what was that all about... and was still thinking about it several days later as it filtered through my brain. (yes I have one)

My one that I like is Lawrence Fox... and I am also a David Morrissey fan.. who starred in the Blackpool TV program singing .. Lainie probably watched it and drooled and dribbled since David Tennant was in it.

And one of the nicest actors is Martin Clunes... I loved his docos on the Islands of Britain and the other one with him learning more about horses.

Persephone Report 21 Nov 2011 05:39

Yes do get rid of that cold Gracie.. don't want the hospital giving you their meds..

I got ampercillin jabs in each leg for 3 or 4 days, thought nothing of it till I got home and thought hmm I would like a nice relaxing hot soak in the bath... and my legs did not want to go there and I was only 21. This was in the days when one stayed in hospital for over a week after having a child.

Great having little ones around Sylv... when Evan was pre one, he would not go to sleep he cried and cried so bunged him in the push chair and took him for a ride ( a sure way of him going to sleep... fail ... ) he was quiet as... but no sleep. So we played till all hours... He was the only one I had trouble with thank goodness.
