Could anyone help with this please?
The first part is easiest..Can I have a look up on the 1911 census for Edwin Sainsbury born 1859 in Portsea Hants..He appears to be in Weymouth,if this is the right one,but who is he with??
Thank you.
The second part is this..He was born 1859 in Portsea.,His mother is named as Amelia Sainsbury,no father, but there is no marriage for Amelia to have become Sainsbury..
She was born Amelia Stanfield in 1836 Portsea.
The 1861 should have her with parents (step father) George LAMPARD and mother Mary Ann in Portsea.along with siblings William,Keziah,George,Ann,and Sarah
Could someone please look at the 1861 for me to see what it says...what name Amelia gives etc
Thank you for any help

Thank you...That is the right family, but all the children fromKezia down should have been Lampards,
Seems maybe Amelia was using Sainsbury and it was mis spelt and all the others added to it..
But it shows me that Amelia WAS Sainsbury...perhaps she just took Edwin's father's surname??
Thank you for your help

On the original of that 61 census Keziah, George, Ann and Sarah are Lampards. Also I believe Amelia is married.

On the 51 census Amelia Stanfield 16 and William Stanfield, 14? are listed as daughter-in-law and son-in-law of George Lampard, meaning stepdaughter and stepson.

Think that marriage between William Standfield and Mary Ann Brown might be correct after all
