Thanks for your hard work. Just been given some info from a relative, think I should leave this alone. Think we know who it is, and probably not a good idea to carry on. Thanks anyway.

There are a few Yallop/Yallop births, if your theory is correct he must be one of those I suppose.

This is the nearest guess but I am starting to feel you might never know:

Births Mar 1917 (>99%)
Yallop Raymond Yallop Barnet 3a 677

Sandra,

The Lovell name comes from the adoptee parents??? If not from where then.

Can't see a Bernard Yallop with MMN Yallop birth anywhere, even using phonetic search. Just a guess, but if Bernard were "adopted" his name might have been changed completely - he could be Walter. Impossible to say unless we find Walter elsewhere!

EDIT curses!! Just saw the "brilliant" - thanks but not so it seems!

Brilliant Jan!!! Do you think that Walter could be Bernard???

If Bernard was adopted then maybe his name was changed???

She was Rebecca Yallop, born 1888. She Married Frank Day in 1920.

Hi,

so if he was born out of wedlock then his surname would be Yallop and it would also show mothers maiden as Yallop..........like you say though none showing.

So can we go back a bit please.... what was his mothers full name prior to marriage and who did she marry?

Sandra

Sandra Report 24 Jul 2010 18:18

They were definately an Eastend family, he was born out of wedlock, they remember him visiting with papers to be signed. He may have been registered as a Lovell (don't know who his father was.) or possibly as a Yallop. They are adament that he was, or possibly still is a Lovell. (They are elderly, and it is difficult to get full information, but they would love to find him.

Why are you dismissing this? I don't understand. Who is supposed to have adopted him?

Sandra

Sandra Report 24 Jul 2010 18:09

Also he would have been born in London I think.

Sandra

Sandra Report 24 Jul 2010 18:08

Thanks, I don't think so, my Aunts, his half sisters remember him visiting. His mother was a Yallop, but they say he was adopted, and his name was Lovell, can't find birth details in any of these names.

Depends how much "around" 1913 it is - there are quite a few.
