Elizabeth's parents - Richard DAVIS b:circa 1840 - perhaps UK? d: circa 1905.
married: Elizabeth Annie HILDEBRANDT of Germany, 25th Feb, 1862, Christ Church, Castlemaine Victoria.

my grandpa -Oscar Richard ROSENHAIN b: Adelaide March 20th, 1893 d: Adelaide 1968.

The GG grandparents on my Mother's side -

Johann Frederick Marcus DAU from Hamburg, Germany: born circa 1826, died Adelaide, South Australia 1905.

married in - St Andrews Church, Adelaide, Jan 1855 to Fredericka Christiana BAHLS, Germany, b: circa 1817, died Adelaide, 1905.

G Grandparents: Son - Carl Alfed DAU ( sometimes known as Charls Daw)
b: Adelaide, March 1859. d: 17 November 1936, Adelaide.
married Elizabeth GOBLE 15th October 1894, Adelaide.(noter spelling of Goble here but in other sources it is Gobel or Gobell)

Children..Carl 1822-1846, Florence 1882-1883, Emily 1884 -1907, Lilly, 1887 - Frederich and George 1891-1891

and my Grandmother on my mother's side -

No, all family history but little was said about Victoria either! I knew some of the family were there ofcourse, but hadn't found the connection as to why.

I also knew they had one daughter, called Elizabeth also, and she married Charles Rosenhain. Together they had five kids and my Grandpa was one of them.

Now if only I could get some info about how she came to be in Australia in the first place?

I have checked and have been unable to find a death of Elizabeth in 1915, do you have her death certificate, or is it just what family have told you?

I presume you have these details, if you get their marriage certificate it should give details of parents names. If you go to the website that Victoria gave you, you can download an image direct to your computer for about $A20.00.

Elizabeth Annie HILDEBRANDT.
I am searching for any information about this woman please.

I do not know where she was born (c.1840), but she lived in Victoria, Australia, and died in 1915. She married Richard Davis, Feb 25th, 1862, in Castlemaine, Victoria.
They had at least one child, a daughter Elizabeth 1868-1945, who married Charles (Carl) ROSENHAIN in Castlemaine,
Victoria on Nov 20th 1885.
